Companion verification
Understanding CompanionVerification
What GetYourCompanion checks during companion verification, what being verified means, and how to report a concern.
The checks
What we checkbefore anyone is bookable.
Email and phone
Both are confirmed with a one-time code sent to them.
Age, 18+
Every applicant confirms they are 18 or older. Under-18s cannot use the platform.
Government ID
Where ID checks are active, the ID and date of birth are confirmed through DigiLocker.
Manual review
Our team reviews every companion application before they can be booked.
The verified badge
What the badgemeans.
A Verified badge on a companion’s profile means they have confirmed both their email address and their phone number.
Every companion you can book has also been reviewed and approved by our team. Profiles that have not been approved are not listed.
Scope and limitations
What verificationdoes not cover.
- Verification confirms contact details, age and, where ID checks are active, identity. It is not a background check.
- It cannot guarantee how someone will behave. Always meet in public places and follow our safety guidelines.
- Changing a verified email or phone number needs a fresh verification.
- Accounts can be re-reviewed, suspended or removed if a concern is reported.
Reporting a concern
Something feels off?Tell us.
If a profile looks fake, a companion is not who they say they are, or someone breaks the rules, report it. Signed-in members can report from the booking, or contact support at any time.
Read the safety guidelines for what to do before and during a meeting.
Good to know
Questions.Answered.
It depends on the number of applications. You can follow your status on your companion dashboard.
No. ID details are used only for verification. Your public profile shows your age, never your date of birth or document.
The badge appears once both email and phone are verified. A companion may still be completing one of them.
